| 1 1/2 | lb | Brown sugar |
| 6 | | Two-inch pieces cinnamon |
| 1 | | Level ths. whole cloves |
| | | Curl of lemon peel * |
| 1 | | Level tbs. whole allspice |
| 2 | | Pieces whole mace |
| 1/2 | ts | Salt |
| | ds | Cayenne |
Tie spice in bag. Boil fifteen minutes. Remove from stove and take out
spice bag. Just before serving, heat to boiling point. Remove from stove
and add a pint of strong grain alchol. * Makes one gallion punch and will
